Wild Turkey Unveils Rare 16-Year-Old Gold Foil Bourbon Wild Turkey is set to release one of its most anticipated collector's bottlings in recent years, with the Austin Nichols Archives Gold Foil Edition arriving in Australia on 20 August.

The inaugural release in the new Austin Nichols Archives Collection, this highly limited 16-year-old bourbon pays tribute to the iconic "Cheesy Gold Foil" bottles of the 1980s, now regarded among the most collectible and sought-after releases in the distillery's history.

More than a decade in the making, the bourbon is bottled at 120 proof (60% ABV) and showcases the depth and maturity that comes with extended ageing. Expect layers of dark fruit, mature oak, cherry cola and warming clove, delivered with the bold character that has become synonymous with Wild Turkey.

Presented in a premium collector's canister inspired by the brand's hunting heritage and vintage archives, the release is designed to appeal to both serious bourbon collectors and enthusiasts looking to experience a rare expression from one of Kentucky's most celebrated distilleries.

With an RRP of $499, the Austin Nichols Archives Gold Foil Edition will be available from Thursday, 20 August, through select Australian retailers. Given its limited allocation, this is one Father's Day release that is unlikely to remain on shelves for long.
