Whisky Abbey returns to Melbourne with international line-up
Whisky Abbey is set to make its grand return to The Timber Yard in Port Melbourne this November 14–15, bringing together an impressive assembly of more than 24 international and 34 Australian distilleries and independent bottlers.

Presented by Casa de Vinos, the whisky festival combines small-batch distilleries and leading global whisky giants around a program of masterclasses, tastings and connection. This includes traditional tastings and activations, alongside novel experiences such as a hands-on blending opportunities where attendees can create their own blend and receive a personalized 200ml bottle.
The festival’s international guest list boasts a range of industry leaders, including John Shutt (Michter's Distillery) from the US, and Yumi Yoshikawa (Chichibu), Emiko Kaji (Nikka), Yoshitsugu Komasa (Kanosuke), Hitoshi Michino (Ikawa), and independent bottler Hideo Yamaoka (Whisky Mew), all from Japan.
Different to other whisky festivals, revenue from pours and bottle sales at the exhibitors’ stands goes directly to the exhibitors. This is particularly important for smaller producers, independent bottlers and specialist bars participating.
Casa de Vinos has also invited 300 drinks trade professionals to attend with complimentary entry.
