Callington Mill gets personal with fourth annual Festive Cask Single Malt
Callington Mill Distillery is getting ready for the festive season early with the launch of its fourth annual Festive Cask Single Malt and new festive personalised label options.
The fourth edition of the annual release, the 2026 Festive Cask was matured in a combination of Sherry and Port casks and is described by the distillery as being reminiscent of a brandy-soaked Christmas pudding, with layers of spiced sultana, marzipan and orange zest.
Although the recipe has been fine-tuned over the years, it remains true to the nostalgia that prompted its debut in 2023, one year after Callington Mill Distillery’s official opening.
Founder John Ibrahim said: “My memories of the holiday season always centre around bringing my friends and family together and sharing a favourite whisky, or three, well into the evening. It’s a season of celebration, of spending time with loved ones, and taking some much-needed time to relax and enjoy the carefree summery holidays. The Festive Cask captures that beautifully and is a release we look forward to sharing every single year.”
Intended for festive gifting, whether for oneself or for someone special, 2026 Festive Cask features a red and green geometric holiday scenescape label and comes housed in a matching gift box.

Callington Mill has also expanded its newly launched custom label service to include a dedicated festive label for the first time.
The service allows fans to create a one-of-a-kind whisky gift across three areas for personalisation, including a 600-character space on the spine of the bottle.
The customisation goes inside the bottle, too, with three distinct cask maturations to choose from: a fragrant Port Cask, an aromatic and silky Sherry Cask, and a smoky Peated & Sherry Cask.
John Ibrahim said: “Customisation in whisky gifting has become one of the fastest growing trends in the premium spirits market, and our new personalisation platform provides a huge array of options to create a truly personal whisky gifting experience for a close friend or work colleague.
“The option to curate the liquid inside the bottle adds an extra dimension to the gift giving experience, making a truly unique Tasmania whisky experience to enjoy.”

The Callington Mill Festive Cask will be made available from select independent retailers and from Callington Mill’s direct-to-consumer channels from mid-October, and will retail for $165.
Meanwhile, the Personalised Tasmanian Single Malt Whisky experience is available exclusively direct from the Callington Mill website for $220 for each of the three options.
